Traditional Entrance Doors

Norrsken manufactures both outward and inward opening traditional entrance, patio and balcony doors. Doors profiles are made of solid timber and are available with aluminium cladding. Double glazing or insulated panels are used as in-fills. Thermal transmittance Uw = 1.4 W/m²K.

It is possible to manufacture single or double leaf doors. Finishing according to RAL, NCS (paint) or Norrsken (lacquer) tone catalogue by customer's preference.

Closing system by the Swedish lock manufacturer ASSA: hinges and three-point locking espagnolette. Patio and balcony doors have simpler locking systems.

  • Thermal transmittance: Uw = 1,4 W/m²K;
  • Sound insulation: Rw (C; Ctr) = 33 (-1; -4);
  • Cross sections: frame 44 x 116 mm; leaf 61 x 99 mm; transom/mullion 61 x 99 mm; glazing bar 50 x 61 or 44 x 61 mm;
  • Pine wood with quality class A1–A3; oak-aluminium threshold or aluminium threshold 25 x 116 mm;
  • Timber profiles treated with a water based preservative;
  • Glazing and in-fills: insulated double glazing (26mm; Ug = 1,1 W/m²K); insulated 26 mm veneer or MDF panels; insulated 40 mm timber or MDF profiled panel;
  • Hardware: ASSA hinges, Fix espagnolettes, Fix or ASSA handles, RUKO or ASSA locks.

  1. Norrsken quotes are valid for 2 months from the date shown on the quotation.

  2. Payment terms are 50% deposit on placing the order and the remaining 50% upon your completed order being ready to ship from the factory. Once the sales contract is signed you agree to pay the full amount as stated in the contract based upon these payment terms.

  3. Once the deposit is paid your window manufacturing will commence. As each window is a bespoke product for your requirements changes cannot be made once manufacturing has started.

  4. Orders are based upon the measurements supplied to the factory either by you or by Norrsken. Where you have supplied the measurements, either from a window schedule or scaled drawings please check that these are accurate. Once manufacturing has started changes cannot be made. Norrsken will endeavor to check any measurements supplied to us but in the event that an error is made Norrsken cannot be held responsible.

  5. When the delivery arrives at the address supplied, removal of the goods from the delivery vehicle is the responsibility of the customer.

  6. Once the windows are delivered the warranty period commences and any issues arising will be covered by the warranty where applicable.

  7. When the delivery of your windows is made Norrsken will check with yourself or someone appointed by you that everything is in order with the delivery and that no damage has occurred in transit. Any problems must be pointed out at this stage. Claims can only be processed whilst we are on site and Norrsken cannot be held responsible for any damage occurring after the delivery has been signed off.

  8. A fitting manual will be supplied with your order. Any installation work carried out by you or by somebody appointed by you must be carried out in accordance with these fitting instructions. Failure to do so may invalidate your warranty.
