Two Rivers is a certified Passive House Primary School. The directing board wanted as many classrooms as possible to have views across the hills to the east of the site to create a sense of place and enhancement of wellbeing for the students and teachers, so requested as many windows as possible on this elevation.
Windows and doors play a critical role in the building envelope air tightness and the thermal performance of any Passive House project, and the P31A windows and S307A doors specified were instrumental in achieving an impressive 0.30ACH in the pressure test.
