Sliding Alu-Clad Door (S319A)

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this door available in different configurations?

The S319A is most commonly supplied as a two-panel door with one fixed panel and one sliding leaf. A four-panel configuration is also available, with two fixed outer panels and two sliding leaves in the middle. Maximum width across both configurations is 5,900mm.

Is it possible to have a flush floor finish on both the inside and outside?

A continuous flush floor finish across the threshold is not available on the S319A - the inline sliding track requires a threshold profile at floor level on both sides. If a flush floor detail is important to your project, the S315A lift-and-slide door offers an optional flush threshold grille that allows the floor finish to run through at the same level.

Can I have a sill?

Yes, an aluminium, thermally broken box sill is available with a projection of 100mm. Sill specification is worth confirming early, particularly where you're coordinating with external paving or internal floor finish levels.

What is the maximum width?

The maximum width for the S319A is 5,900mm across both two-panel and four-panel configurations. Maximum height will also influence what is achievable within that overall frame area - our technical team can advise on the specific envelope for your configuration at the specification stage.

What hardware options are available?

The standard configuration is a handle and lock on the inside with a pull plate on the outside. A thumb turn lock is available as an alternative to the keyed lock on the inside. A handle and lock on both sides is also available for situations where the door needs to be operated from outside - for example, where it serves an external terrace or courtyard that is accessed independently.

Enhanced Coastal Finish

Enhanced finishing is automatically quoted for projects within 1,500 metres of the sea.

The industry standard for marine grade powder-coated aluminium cladding ranges from 40-100 microns. Our standard finish across all alu-clad products is 60-80 microns, while our marine-grade finish is 120 microns minimum.

Coastal projects get a meaningfully thicker finish designed for salt air and prolonged weather exposure, although regular maintenance is still important to preserve the lifespan of your windows.
